Our Tradition Of Offering The Best Hospitality

Our History

Burntwood Memorial Community Association was built as a memorial to those who gave their lives in the 1914-1918 War.

It began with funds raised by the people of Burntwood Parish to obtain the land and wooden/tin huts to start the Community Centre which opened on 6th January 1922.

It was completely re-built in December 1971 again by extensive fund raising and a grant from the Ministry for Education and Science.

Who are we & what we offer

This Community Centre is used by a wide range of Organisations with their activities and is also available for private hiring events, further information for all of these can be obtained by phoning the Office, looking further on our website or our Facebook page.

The Institute (as it has always been known locally) is run by a group of volunteers as a non-profit charitable organisation.  The Centre has two Halls and both of are available for hire.  The Centre provides an ideal venue for weddings, parties, craft fairs and conferences. We also have a fully licensed bar.
